Susan Sawin, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Susie Sawin, or as she is known in the practice, Dr. Susie, graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 1989. After graduation, she worked for the US Public Health Services on the Navajo Reservation for three years, before coming home to Columbus to practice with her father.
Dr. Susie's husband, David Kadlec, is an artist and environmental activist. She lives with David, two dogs, one cat, and many chickens in rural Bartholomew County in an energy-efficient home. She has two sons who are in college.
In her spare time, Dr. Susie is a silversmith and lapidary artist. Her jewelry creations can be seen at the Columbus Visitor's Center and at www.susiesawin.com
Luciana Kano-Wilson, DDS

Dr. Luciana Kano-Wilson, or as she is known in the practice, Dr. "Luc", is glad to have returned to her hometown of Columbus! After graduating from Columbus North HS in 2001, she went to Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where she studied Biology and received her undergraduate BS degree in 2005. She attended dental school and received her DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2009.
Dr. Luc and her husband Reuben moved back to Columbus in 2009 and have two daughters and a son. She also has a furry daughter named Hoshi, a Bernedoodle. She is fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese. She enjoys baking, reading, and biking.
Dr. Luc is an active member with the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and South Central Dental Society.
Kathryn Young, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Kathryn Young, or as she is known in the practice, Dr. Kathryn, was born and raised in Batesville, Indiana. She then studied at Purdue University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Dr. Kathryn attended Indiana University School of Dentistry dental school and received her Doctoral of Dental Surgery in 2022.
Dr. Kathryn currently resides in Columbus with her husband, Bannon, and their two fur babies, Milo and Lily. Dr. Kathryn enjoys crocheting, baking, and traveling to new places in her spare time.
Tracie
Dental Hygienist
Tracie was born and raised in Southern California but has resided in Batesville for the last 28 years. She lives with her husband and dog Jeb. She has 1 adult child who is married and recently blessed her with her first grandchild.
She completed all of her dental hygiene schooling in Southern California at Cypress College, and has been a practicing hygienist for 33 years.
In her off time, she enjoys gardening, camping, reading, and spending time with her family.
